The Count of Monte Cristo (Reflect)
The story of The Count of Monte
Cristo is about between the rich and the poor people can or cannot do when it
comes to influence and power, and the revenge of Edmond Dantes, the main character.
The
story is also full of hope and having a strong faith to God despite of the
tragedy happened in his life. As the line “God will give
me justice” which Edmond Dantes engraved in the wall on the jail. That hope
keeps him alive, but time comes Edmond lost his trust in God because he waited
for so long but there’s no God came to save him. He thought that God was never
there in those times he needed his companion and was never a God of justice. He
now believes that God don’t exist. Abbe faria a priest which is also a prisoner
who became his teacher, who taught him to read, write to fight inn duel, to be
string and brave and many more things that made him to be an educated man. This
is how Edmond becomes the count, a man with a brilliant mind, intelligent with
possessions that grant him a new life, and starts his revenge to those people
who betrayed him and ruined his life.
The
Story of Edmond Dantes is really happening in real life especially for the people
who have no power or influence; the uneducated become slaves and even make them
fool in order to be advantage. The story really makes my eyes open to what is
really happening in a world of betweens (rich, poor, politics etc.) and had
opened my mind. And also have the will
to survive in this world full of trials in life and have the strength to hold
on and fight for our right for the right to have freedom, we do not need to
kill lives but to have justice in Gods
will. God is everywhere, he might not come or make an instant action on the
time you need him but just always trust him because he has the perfect plan on
the perfect timing, Edmond Dantes lost his believe in God and believe there is
no God but God send him a priest which is also a prisoner, who help him and
taught him and told him God believes in you.
The
story is also thought us that wrong things are not meant forever. Every bad
things will always come back to us. So we must always do well, live in God’s
love so that we have peace in this world and in our own conscience.
